Early life
Sreelakshmi Suresh was born in Kozhikode (Calicut), Kerala, in 1998. According to Grokipedia, her father, Suresh Menon, is an advocate and her mother, Viju Suresh, a schoolteacher. Her family bought a computer when she was small, and she has said she learned the English alphabet by typing in Notepad and drew pictures in MS Paint before she started school. She grew up in a middle-class family and studied at Presentation Higher Secondary School in Kozhikode.
First websites
Her interest in web design began after her father showed her a website made by a young boy. She started experimenting at about four, using MS Word and Microsoft FrontPage, and reportedly made a simple family-photo website at six. By 2006, when she was eight, newspapers such as the Hindustan Times were already writing about her as one of India's youngest web designers.
She designed the website for her school, Presentation HSS. Forest Minister Binoy Viswam inaugurated it on 15 January 2007. Reports say she later built other sites, including one for the Kozhikode District Association of the Deaf and, at nine, one for the Bar Council of Kerala, though those details come mainly from Grokipedia and a news report it cites.
Founding eDesign
The success of the school website gave her the confidence to take on clients. In 2009, at 11, she founded eDesign Technologies in Kozhikode and became its CEO, offering web design, SEO and related services. Grokipedia says she began as a solo operator and had to convince clients who doubted a child's skills, while balancing school work. As demand grew, the company reportedly hired developers and expanded its services.
She also founded TinyLogo, described as a logo-based search engine, though sources give 2009 and 2011 as the start date. One of her profiles mentions a later venture called Online Pixel Traders, started in 2017 with Cybrosys Techno Solutions, and she is described as a director of YGlobes Technologies and a brand ambassador for InfoGroup.
Education
She studied Computer Science for her Plus Two at Presentation Higher Secondary School from 2013 to 2015. She then earned a bachelor's degree in business management at St. Joseph's College (Autonomous), Devagiri, in Kozhikode, from 2015 to 2018, working on her business alongside her studies.
The "world's youngest CEO" title
Many media outlets have called her one of the world's youngest CEOs and web designers. Wikipedia points out that these titles have been given to several people by different outlets. For example, some media called Harli Jordean the "World's Youngest CEO" at age eight, and a government press release called Ajay Puri the "World's Youngest Web Designer". For that reason, this page describes her as one of India's youngest entrepreneurs and web designers rather than the record holder.
